A few more Art Journal pages

There is always room for more Journal pages especially when the light is to poor to photograph any cards or scrapbook pages.

Here's a few for inspiration

Hope to get a few more pages on here tomorrow. Xxx

Tag Six

Loved the snowflake background on this one
And of course, that fantastic pine cone which took some mastering but was well worth the effort.

A big thank you to Sally for sharing her versions of the class tags. When I do eventually find mine in the mess I call my craft room, I will share them as well.
Don't forget you can see all of Sally's Art Journal work over on her blog www.onedragonsdream.blogspot.co.uk xx

Tag Five

An ideal way to get a white Christmas this year. The houses are from one of the edge dies and the lively man with umbrella is transformed as he shelters from the snow.
Here's a closer look
Last one tomorrow xx

A Christmas Wish

It has been a very strange year but amongst the stress, anguish and tears I have realised just how many lovely, supportive friends I have made in my crafty world and what a lovely bunch my family are. It is wonderful to feel appreciated and loved and I am really thankful for all of you.

As I can't send all of you a Christmas card here's one for all of you with love.
I am looking forward to a great Family Christmas and after much eating, drinking and definitely "being merry" I will return afresh with loads of ideas on how to make 2016 the best year ever.

Have a fantastic Christmas and I hope you get everything you have wished for and more.

Hugs Julie xxx

Tag Four

I have always loved the shape of this deer. Notice the snow around the edges of the tag.
and the way Sally has distressed Tim Holtz Ornate Plate using black paint and a soft cloth.
Don't forget to leave a comment if you get the time xxx

Tag Three

Have you ever wondered what to do with your Tim Holtz Ideaology Baubles. Well in class I showed everyone how to make them into beautiful Christmas droplets ideal for tags, jewellry or window hangers.
Just look at the lovely detail
Another fun idea tomorrow xx

Tag two

This time Sally has used Tim Holtz street lamp and white embossing powder to make the snow effect.

The detail shot shows just how beautiful this one is.
Loads more to come so keep checking back over Christmas xx

A Few Christmas Tags

Loads of lovely tags to share over the coming days. These ones are made by Sally West and were made in a class I taught a while ago.
Tag One
The little dress was made using the taylors dummy as a pattern.
and the little hangers and the scissor charm finish it off nicely.
The background is paper from one of Tim Holtz paper pads.
Don't forget, you can see more of Sallys work on her blog www.onedragonsdream.blogspot.co.uk
Tag two tomorrow xxx

Smile

Layout two and yes I had to use the butterflies again. They are so scrummy and easy to use and if you stamp onto coloured paper you only need to cut them out.
I think this one is probably one of my favourites. I used a knife to cut around some of the paper pieces on the main paper and then raised them using sticky pads.

The little tree stamp was by Kaisercraft and I think it will be used many more times in my family album.

Scrapping Your Family

Last Saturday was the last Scrapping Your Family class of 2015 and to mark the occasion we had a special kit including a lovely set of stampendous stamps.

Here is the first of four layouts made for the class

I cut the title using the scan n cut and the butterflies were made using the stamps.

Layout two tomorrow and don't forget there are loads of inspiring ideas on the ladiesthatcraft facebook page. X

Doggie Christmas Card

I have loads of friends with dogs so when I saw this cracking stamp it went straight in my basket. In fact on the day I bought this one I found a Christmas rabbit, cat and parrot so I bought them all.
The overall effect was made using the masking technique and is a great way to revisit those single stamps and make a statement.
Adding a shadow line under the dogs' feet adds to the dimension of the images. Xx

Art Journal

Today I'm sharing the last of Sally's Art Journal pages.

I will share some more later in the year so keep checking back and if you want to follow Sally her blog is www.onedragonsdream.blogspot.co.uk

Back to cards tomorrow xx

A Little Bit Of Purple

An unusual choice of colour for me especially with the pink glitter picking out the embossed detail, however I kind of like it and will certainly be experimenting more.

I love the floral die cut from Memorybox. It can be used for all seasons, and I will use it again on a few birthday cards next year.

Don't forget, when glittering up a card you only need to pick out a small amount of the detail to get a stunning effect.

More tomorrow xx

Christmas Robin 2

I absolutely love this stamp set from HobbyArt. I bought them last year and have used them again and again. Of the set, this Robin is my favourite.

I struggle to colour stamped images in with any sort of pen however I think that as long as the robins breast is bright red and shiney no one will notice the rest of the bird lol.

The branch is cut out on the scan n cut and the leaves are punched out.
Have a great day xx

Some more Art Journalling

I can't resist sharing these wonderful pieces of art.
And another one
Thank you once again for sharing Sally xx

Star Christmas Card

Sometimes I find shop bought cards are a bit old fashioned so Imthought I'd jazz it up a bit with some bright yellow stars

The central shape is raised on sticky pads and the stamps, I believe, were free in a magazine last year. You could also get the same effect using a black die cut.

Thanks for stopping by xx

Art Journal

Sally has been filling up her Art Journal again and we were all blown away by her pages. Over the next few days I will be sharing some of her work plus the Christmas cards from the last Card Class so make sure you keep checking back.

Here's the first one I have chosen

The colours are beautiful and I love the flowers and wings.

The second one I have chosen is completely different entitled "elements"

Love it and there are many more to come.
See you tomorrow. Xx

A lovely relaxing crafting day

We all had a great time today crafting, chatting and eating cake. Sometimes it's just nice to craft with friends. Much needed at the moment.

Here are a few photos of works in progress. I have no idea who did what but everything looked great to me.

Looking forward to seeing this project finished.

I'll be sharing loads of work over the next few weeks so keep checking back.

Thank you to everyone who came today and for all your help clearing up and to Sally for taking Janet home and to Marilyn for the much appreciated offer of a coffee while I waited for the AA man.

Have a great weekend xxx

One For The Boys

I do try to make layouts which would suit boy/man photos but there are so many PRETTY papers out there that it is sometimes quite difficult.

Luckily this navy blue and red gave me an ideal opportunity

And a little bit of detail

The photo frames were cut out using the Scan n Cut. Love that machine.
